About

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, attending Fairview High School. I chose to attend CU Boulder (Go Buffs!), as I’ve always loved the mountains and wanted to stay close to my family. I also loved the mountains, and spent as much time as I could skiing, rock climbing, and hiking.

I’ve always enjoyed writing, and spent my youth writing short stories and have kept a journal since I was 12 years old. I learned to channel that love for writing into journalism. Choosing Columbia University to obtain my MS in journalism has been one of the best decisions of my life. Covering politics, environmental policy, and healthcare in New York has truly elevated my writing and reporting, on top of being a fun and challenging experience. I also met such incredible fellow journalists from all across the world.

I graduated from Columbia Journalism School with my MS degree in 2025 and have kept busy freelancing for publications and private clients as a photographer. My dream is to still report on important subjects I find interesting, such as climate change and healthcare. In the meantime, I’m freelancing my own stories and pictures, while working to get the experience needed on the ground level to be able to report on such complex subjects.
