About
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, attending Fairview High School where I met a rag tag group of amazing friends I still am close with today. I chose to attend CU Boulder after graduating, as I’ve always loved Boulder. More importantly, I loved the mountains. Being this close to the most beautiful sites you’ll ever see has been instrumental in my life, allowing me to freely pursue my hobbies such as skiing, rock climbing, and hiking.
I’ve always enjoyed writing, and spent my youth writing short stories about squirrels and other nonsense. I learned to channel that love for writing into journalism. Choosing Columbia University to obtain my master’s in journalism has been one of the best decisions of my life, and covering politics, environmental policy, and healthcare in New York has truly elevated my writing and reporting, on top of being a fun and challenging experience.
